About the Event

With the rise of COVID cases in Harrisonburg, PLEASE register if you plan to come, or get in touch with me to let me know you're coming so we can prepare for the number of people. Please bring face masks, a folding chair, your refillable water bottle, a journal and pen if you'd like. We will social distance our chairs.

We gather to welcome the Autumn Equinox, one of two points of balance and equilibrium in the wheel of the year, when day and night are equal length. A time of transition in between what has been and what will be. In this time where nothing seems balanced, and chaos and unraveling surrounds, we will listen in to a deeper story from the natural world, from our own Souls, for what is being called forth.

We take time to bring thanks to the sun, light, visibility, and for whatever our lives have harvested this season; we also prepare for a time of moving toward darkness, clearing out, letting go, returning to our roots deep within. The time of underground and understory.

If you are able, please bring a gift to offer from your harvest, whatever it might be - a carrot, a flower, anything grown, or a symbol of something more internal that you have harvested. We will offer them back to the earth, to the divine presence within this particular place we are sustained by.

We will meet in Hone Quarry Campground, site 7 or 8, depending on availability. For questions, or to confirm your attendance, please email or text. svchurchofthewild@gmail.com or 540-405-9201
