Circle Gathering: The In-Between

The Celtic wheel of the year has just cycled through the ancient fire festival of Imbolc on February 1st and St Brigid Day. Instead of just being a one day event, this time stretches open in an in-between state. In between winter solstice and spring equinox, between darkness and light, death and rebirth, underground and emergence. Imbolc translates as "in the belly," and the archetype of Brigid is symbolized by the maternal, midwifery, poetry, hearth, healing and fertility. She is the keeper of the sacred flame. 

We turn toward the divine feminine found within each one of us, within the rest of the natural world, in the creation and destruction of all things. We turn toward the belly, our breath, the sacred fire within each of us, and to what is waiting to emerge from within us. We will engage poetry,…
