About the Event

Save the date! Register and you'll be updated with the information of where we will gather.

On Samhain, the old Celtic new year, the veil grows thin and the door between worlds stands open. Our ancestors understood this as a night to honor the beloved dead and to guard the threshold of home and kin. Join Shenandoah Valley Church of the Wild as we gather near dusk to remember those who came before, carry their light into the wild, and weave a living ring of protection for our families, our places, and all who stand in harm’s way right now.

Please bring: a candle in a jar or lantern (a tea light in a small mason jar or jelly jar is perfect), and a photo or small object honoring an ancestor for our shared altar. Dress warmly for time outdoors as the light fades.
